Lac de Castillon covers 500 hectares with an 85m-high dam. The turquoise color of the water in Lac de Castillon is due to the clay bed and the purity of the water.

When a dam was built in 1948,the village was swallowed up by the lake. Come and discover a lake full of history & its incredible landscape.

How does the Castellane course work?

Half-day itinerary, approx. 2h30 :

  • Meet us at the Sandaya campsite in Castellane and getto know   your guide.
  • Equipment, briefing and getting to grips with the electric scooter await you before taking off on your tour.
  • You’ll then set off on a 2.5 hrride at that’s great fun and accessible to all, where you’ll have the chance to admire the beauty of the landscapes overlooking Lac de Castillon & the village of Castellane! 
  • Then return to the room, turn in your equipment and get on with your day!
